Canon Eos
The large, crystal-clear display of the EOS 450D is a joy to use, both for shooting and viewing photos. Measuring 3 inches diagonally with 230,000 dots*, this energy efficient TFT liquid crystal display is 30% brighter* compared to previous models, assuring you of easy viewing even in bright sunlight. The 100% coverage* facilitates image composition while the wide 170-degree view angle* assures outstanding visibility even when viewing from an angle. Seven brightness levels ensure optimum readability and a smart sensor automatically turns the display off when you look through the viewfinder. The generous display size also means settings and menus are shown clearly in large text (now in 20 languages), greatly simplifying camera operation. Four menu color schemes are available and items in the display have been reorganized for improved readability.

A light compact body makes the EOS 450D an ideal shooting companion wherever you go. Despite the large LCD monitor, Canon has noticeably reduced body weight compared to previous models while still maintaining the easy operability for which EOS is famous. Now utilizing popular SD and high-capacity SDHC memory cards, it allows compact digital camera owners to move up to the world of EOS and still use their previous cards. To prevent loss of data, should you accidentally open the memory card cover while saving images, writing will stop until the cover is closed. Additionally, SD card formatting options now include a low-level format for more thorough data deletion.

Lift the EOS 450D to your eye and immediately see the difference. The 0.87x magnification ratio and spacious 95% scene coverage provide natural perspective for easy, accurate composition. A new highly reflective evaporated-silver mirror increases brightness and the wide 24.5-degree viewing angle* along with comfortable 19mm eye point assure optimum viewing ease. The viewfinder shows all essential shooting information, including settings for exposure, auto focus, and flash. There is even continuous display of the ISO setting and an indicator that alerts you when shooting in black and white.
